90 Eton Questions
#1
My son's 90 Eton is about 3 years old and gets a lot of use. Over the years it has developed some serious negative camber and toe out. There doesn't seem to be near enough adjustment to take all this out. Any recommendations?
It has also developed an oil leak. I haven't spent much time tracking this down yet but thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone else has had this problem.
Lastly I think it needs a carborator cleaning and adjustment. On the old Holly carbs you used to start out by running in the adjustment screws all the way and back them off a certian amount to get started. Any chance this is the same with these carbs?
Thanks for the help !!!

Have you repalced the fuel filter or even better installed one? I have a Eton 90R and I read somewhere in one of these posts that it is good idea when it comes to the carb to turn the petcock off and run the bowl dry reducing settlement. I also read the owners manual and it claims that you should use 93 octane. I came here and posts the question of what octane I should use and recieved mixed feedbacks. I often use seafoam to help clean the enternals fuel parts.
Also I just notice that my stock air filter becomes saturated with oil, and will leak, I have to admit that I have not checked it as often as I should and this might be the problem "leak" your referring to??? Just a educated guess from a unedcuated guy. I know that the exsperts will correct any inncorrect information I might have given you.

The carb idle screw I run all the way in.. then back it out about 2 turns. From there's a process of adjusting the carb until the idles stops increasing then back it back in a certain number of turns. I ll look for the link. But 1 1/2 to 2 turns usually gets you running to start.

My daughter has a 90 and after about two years it had and oil leak. At first I thought it was the o-ring on the drain plug but after I cleaned it up I found it was leaking from the crank seal behind the plastic cover on the right side. The shop pulled it apart and found a torn seal. replaced that and it still leaked from the seal. After speaking with e-ton the said they have NEVER heard of any type of leaks with the 4 stroke 90s. That was all pure bull it was the crank that had a slight score in it and caused the seal to tear. So after a new crank and seal it is not leaking. I hope you dont have the same leak but you mght want to remove the plastic and run it to check.

His is a 2 stroke I think.
I don't think there is a camber adjustment. You certainly can adjust the toe-out/in.
You need to do alot more mainenence dude.

There's nothing in the trans or rear end to leak except im pretty sure the jackshaft runs in oil. CVTs dont need any oil because they're a belt. The rear end just has two bearings that need to be greased. Check your oil injection lines for cracks.
