Usually 2 stroke engines have more maintanance than 4 stroke engines. I have never drove a blaster but the 350 raptor is a pretty sweet quad. Ethier way I think you should be pleased. I hope that this helps.

The raptor and the blaster are both sweet and pretty fast quads. As Newfie700 said, 2 strokes have more maintainance but if that isn't a problem for you, i would get either or.... they are both great sport quads with lots of speed and power, but the Raptor does come with better suspensions, which is a big thing if you are going to jump or race your quad.

Well i hope this helped,

dont let the maintenance thing scare you 4 blasters, trust me the blasters last 4 ever with care, and think about this the parts are easier to get, easier to install youself, and they are cheaper. other than that id rather have a raptor250 or 350 even though im a 2 stroke fan, the raptor 350 will be a lil bit faster but not by much at all, but it will have the little bit of bottom end power 4 lugging around in the trails and stuff. i think it will come don to what u like as far as comfort and looks goes becuz there both good choices no matter what. try to take a test ride on them or just at least sit on them both to see what has a better feel to suite you.

I don't get the 2 stroke being more maintenance either. I Turned 8000 miles on my 500 2 stroke snowmobile and all I did was keep the oil injection tank filled and change the plugs once a year or every 2nd year. Dont know how it gets simpler than that,no oil or fiter to change,if anything a four stroke is more hassle.

I ask myself that all the time where do people get the maintenance idea from?

I think what most people refer to as maintance is that the fact if you look at the older 2 strokes such as the 250R you had to pre mix the gas and if you did not get the mix exactly right they would fowl out plugs very easily esp if you were riding at a higher altitudes therefore the preception of higher maintanance came of 2 strokes and to this day still stands.

I dont own 2 strokes anymore other than my chainsaws and as good as they are (STIHL) I still do twice as much work on them than I do an any of my 4 stroke quads. All this and the chainsaws get used about 3/4 less the time too. LOL

As far as bike choice go for the Raptor 350 or take into consideration both the Honda 400EX or Suzuki Z400, IMO far better quads than the Raptor or the Blaster. Ya I cant belive a Yamaha guy said Honda/Suzuki nither !
