it could be the belt, to inspect you need to remove the clutch cover, which just requires some plastic removal

very easy to replace. a good check is see if the belt is sticking up out of the secondary clutch about 1/8". if so then you have a good belt that isnt worn. if not then i would check your play. should be about 1 1/2" if you push down right in the middle.

Dif color springs have dif rates and engagment rpms. You MUST match the clutch to the pipe on a 2stroke Polaris. This means you will have a stall speed when taking off and the wrong spring and weight combonation will loose power and can blow your engine.
I dont recomend messing with clutching other than calling Ritter or HPD tell them what you have and what you want. Now once you have a complete understanding on how every thing works and what it effects you can use a tach and mix and match clutch parts to tune in to your style of riding.

just checked play again in belt and thinkin its about two inches of play in it. would that be enough to make it feel like its i guess slippin? wants it gets goin it seems to be just fine and plenty behind it, this only happens when first starting out. how big of difference can you feel with just a new belt

no visable crackin and cant see any signs of fraying, the sides do look a lil shinny though. just seems like alot of play in it. any tensioners or way to tighten it by chance or just replace it
