i just looked at my a arms and noticed that the ball joints are the same as the tire rod ends on my VW dune buggy. They are $21 from lsr etc.. and only $10 from a mail order catalog i have. I need the number or what ball joint will work.

 

If they are the same as your VW try calling a place that sells parts for it. i would guess it would be a bug. but unless you are ordering right from VW, aftermarket companys would probaly have a differant part number.

 

Ok but what i dont know is left hand thread right hand thread what joint goes where. i guess i will take them apart and figure it out.

 

Someone once told me that they were from a Mazda P/U. I have a new one coming from Lone Star. I plan on trying to have it matched at O'Reilly Auto Parts when I get it.

Try this stock number: Moog ES2074R

This is the stock number for the ball joints that come on the LoneStar A-Arms. I was told these were the same size as the 250r. have not needed to order them yet but I called the local parts store and they were listed at $18.95. LoneStar will gladly sell you the replacement for $40.00.
