2004 Eton 90 Choke Cable Too Short
#1
I am looking a buying either a 2003 or 2004 Eton 90 two stroke quad from a buddy. They both are pretty much the same, although the 2004 has a manual choke with a cable that seems too short. When you turn the bars all the way to the right it actually pulls the choke on and bogs the engine down. The owner said that for the first year he did not noticed anything wrong, but ever since then it is really tight and causes problems. He tried re-routing it, but to no avail. He said it came with the manual choke and bought it new...any ideas on that one?

Just a thought, can you losen up the housing that the choke lever and such is on and slide it further on the bars. I really don't see how it could change unless something is broke so the motor is sitting lower that normal or if someone put on new bars on it. We have ours tipped straight up and there is plenty of cable.

Actually the length of one would be good. I re-routed the cable and it got better, but not loose by any means. I bet one from a 150 would be longer, but need to get one measured to be sure. Mine is 18" cover with a 20" cable.
