Lights and my ATVs electrical system
#1
I've got a newer Wolverine, and the stock lights just don't cut it at night. I need something I can aim - either mounted on the front bumper or the handlebars, I haven't decided yet. I have some Hella lights left over from my truck, can my quad's electrical system handle them? The smallest I have are 55watt. Would I be able to run with the stock lights on and one or two H3 55watt Hellas? Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Dave

Thanks to Ricky Stator, I now know that my stock stator puts out 120 watts. My stock headlighs use 60 watts and the brake light uses 5 watts. I'm not sure what the charging system uses, so for now I'll leave things as they are and add HID lights to my wish list.

Hey Dave,
Many of the High Intensity LED lights may work for your application. I have installed a few on my machine for plowing and actual headlights and because they have a low current draw and are reasonably priced, you can do so much with them now. I get mine from moto2motion.com but many places sell High Output LEDs.
