Default Extra light socket attached to taillight (sp500)

I'm talking about the taillight harness. There's the brake light one and then It looks like there is a reverse light but there's no light in it. What can I put in there? How would I go about putting strobes in it? What size light will fit? What is it for? If I do put a light in there when will it turn on?

Any help would be great.....would also like to know how to put strobes into taillights....thanks!!

The bulbs that fit in the sockets are GE 912.The switch from polaris is pn#4011074.If you take the pod off there are cutouts underneath it.There's also a plug in the pod that plugs onto the switch.

There is a kit from Polaris #2876090 that is the worklight kit. Includes two 13 watt bulbs and a switch.

you can use the GE 912's, but the GE 921's are brighter, you also can use almost any old switch, I used a toggle switch with a rubber boot/nut to make it more water proof, I installed it under the pod below the headlight adjustment wheel

you will see the plug harness in the pod for the switch as well which will give power to the light sockets

Excellent tip. Think I'll change mine out to the 921's... after I use the ones I just put in a couple times. LOL
