OUTLANDER MAX RIDE 2 UP
#1
BOUGHT THE OUTLANDER MAX SO THAT MY WIFE AND I COULD RIDE TOGETHER.
WE RIDE ON APPROVED TRAILS IN THE CALIF NATIONAL FOREST, DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THE FOREST SERVICE HAS ACCEPTED THESE 2 PASSENGER ATVS,
THERE RULES SAY NO PASSEGERS, DOES THIS INCLUDE THESE NEW 2 UP ATVS?

Man you guys are so lucky, we bought an Outlander Max but the stupid ontario government doesn't allow them to be rode on trails. EVEN without a passenger. Yup, whether you have a passenger or not, riding a vehicle designed for 2 people is illegal in ontario. I've seen tons and tons of people riding with two people on one single passenger ATV, even 3 people on one single passenger ATV, but still, paying extra for a 2-up and trying to be safe on the trails is illegal. So any 2-up is illegal, whether you have a passenger or not, and any side x side is also illegal.

I posed this exact question to the BLM/LEOS's at both Glamis and Dumont. Deer in the headlights followed. One of the BLM Rangers took my info and did indeed find the answer and got back to me. It is on the books that NO two up riding will be allowed but if an ATV is so designed then it IS allowed. He said that BLM will impliment training to get this info out to all Rngers and would work hand in hand on ensuring that the San Bernardino and Imperial County Sheriffs departments had the new information.
It must be sold as a two up, which Can Am and Artic Cat are. I'm sure others will follow. Unless the SxS markets swallows them whole!

Just to add Polaris makes a 2 up as well. As far as handling goes most people love them but I also have herd that while loaded (2 ppl) the steering is tough on any of them. These are the machine that need power steereing thoe I sure do love it on my Grizz

Ya but still don't have that fun without flip feeling... maybe I just like to ride alone. After 23 years I'm kinda used to being alone on my own quad lol...
