i just replaced the needle valve and seat on carb of my 2000 scrambler 500,now when i start it it idles way to high,when i turn the chock on it goes down a bit but still a little high,i tried ti adjust it with the cable that hangs off the carb and it wouldnt move and the cable snapped,any suggestions on what to try next

 

whenever you move things around you have to check the thumb throttle,1/8 play,you can adjust four inches up the cable.

 

i checked the cable out and i have at least 1/8 play in it,is there a was to adjust the idle without the cable
