I've got an ATC 350X that the cam ate the journals in the head. I know that I need a new cam, but has anybody had any success with repairing the head with something like bushings rather than getting another head? Or, where would be a good place to find another head?

Check out East Coast ATV (www.eastcoastatv.com)they sell new & used parts and I frequently see their advertisement on a new 350x engine going for $1,500

 

$1500 bucks ouch!!!!!!!!!

$800 for a new 350x motor sounds even better, I'd consider one at that price before attempting to modify my 250x. Who's selling them? By the way, would you know if the 350x motor has a five or six speed gearbox?

The name of the place is Avon Cycle Joint located in Avon, NY phone no 716-226-6130. They are the local atv racing shop. The owner is Aaron Risen or something like that he races in the moto-x & flat track nationals maybe some of you have heard of him. Anyway he had 1 left a month ago.

Just remember it`s a 6 speed without reverse.
BTW that motor went into a 250X also.
