Magnum 330 knocking noise at idle-normal???
#1
I just got this '06 Magnum 330 4x4 with 260 hours on it. It runs great, but it has a slight knock at idle. I can't hear it any other time. I haven't fooled with ATVs much; I do have a 350 Warrior that makes the same noise, so I'm hoping it's just a normal thing. Thanks in advance for any advice.

try to feel the clutch cover to see if the primary is rubbing on the cover. if it is, try slightly prying or pushing down on the cover to see if it goes away. just an idea.

Rattles, clunking, and knocks are all characteristics of a Polaris! LOL! ............but you gotta love 'em!!!!

It doesn't feel like it's in the cover, or at least I can't get it to change by pushing on it. It has the sound of a slight rod knock (keep in mind that I'm a car guy), but it goes away above idle, or just isn't loud enough to hear over the engine at higher rpm. If it's normal, I'm ok with it; I'm just a little paranoid with a "new to me" machine.
