I have a 2007 800 X2. I have the Polaris brush guard on and I also have a Jamguard radiator bracket that is straight across on the bottom, it doesn't have the opening for clearance to the tow hook.
What kind of plows do not use the tow hook on the front? I have also heard of the Polaris brush guard being in the way of the winch cable (I do not have a winch on it yet). Plows are totally new to me, but I am leaning towards the Moose Country. Any advice?

I have an American Manufacturing which is Eagle. It is the same as the Tusk brand at Rocky Mountain.I'm very happy withit. My friend been running his for five years no problems.I'm sure someone will chime in on the Glacier plow.Another friend has one and he bent/twisted the mount. They need to be reinforced. The Glacier will give you better ground clearance.I'm not worried about that,my mount comes off in minutes(four bolts). It leaves a skid plate in place when you drop the lower mount.Just make sure you go with a 60 inch.

You need:1-A machine specific Mount
2-Push tube
3-Blade
4-Lifting device either a manual set-up or a winch.
If you go to Rockymountain they have them bundled.Right now if you enter a code you can save a few bucks. If you spend $300 enter W2503 and save $50.
If you spend $500 enter W2504 and save $100.You could also read all the reviews on the plows on that site.

I have the original Glacier plow and the mount doesn't even have parts on it that can get bent like on a Glacier 2. I have the Polaris deluxe front brushgaurd and the winch cable doesn't hit it.

Not sure if you can get a manual lift for a Sportsman. I have the Moose 60" County plow. The brush guard I had needed to be removed for the winch rope to clear. Also, my winch just stopped working on me last plowing session..........bummer. So I'm about to swap the one in my 500 out for the one in the 800. Hopefully that won't be too much of a chore. Until then, I'm stuck with the blade in the down position and have to back blade the driveway every time I back up. And I also have to use the snowblower now since I can't stack the snow.
I've had very good experience with the Moose brand, and if I had to do it all over again I would go with Moose again.

I have a Moose Plow set up on my ATV. The only issue I have is taking it off and putting it on. However last year when I bought the ATV's I tried to buy the best at the cheapest price. I should have bought the quick release, but it was not available. The 60" blade is perfect and it takes no time to start up the ATV and start plowing. Much nicer than a snow blower and more fun. If price was no object the quick release and the Country plow is probably the best set up.

If you are doing light plowing just about anything will do. Go cheap!
If you are doing heavy-duty plowing, it a whole different story. I encourage you to study the gauge thickness of the blade, Mfg, and longevity.
