Its pretty cold out.. and my fourwheeler wont start.. i put a charger on it to kinda trickle charge it enough to start it.. and it just clicks.. now my starter sounded like that when it wouldnt work... but i just had it totally rebuilt... now it is like -10 or 20 out so its kold and was sitting in the trailer for like 8 hours.. so any suggjestions on the cyliniod or the starter would be kool

if you don't have 10w sometin in it tap the starter with the wooden part of a hammer WHILE turning the starter on.make sure all your conn. are tight+ use meter to make sure of 12 volts to starter cable......

no,never for any reason jump over pos. to neg. or visa-versa.if your not comfortable don't attempt.your only completing a circuit from the battery to the starter.mine has two connecters right next to each other on the solenoid, when you put a screwddriver to both nuts your bypassing the solenoid,if engine turns over, the solenoid is bad or bad start conn.if it just sparks+clicks, solenoid good, starter stuck or froze or???

Cold weather is hell on batteries, and charging with a trickle charger is no guarantee that the battery will be good. A weak battery will fail in the cold temperatures, even freezing if it has a bad cell.
I would first make sure you have a good battery, most places that sell batteries will load test it for free and let you know what condition it is in.
I wonder why you had your starter rebuilt? Is the no start condition the reason?
Is it acting the same way it was before you had it rebuilt? If so, maybe the starter was not the problem.

Get the battery to full charge. If it wont start jump a wire around the solenoid if that doesnt work take the starter drive out and clean it(or thaw it out) I have had them freeze in cold weather.

yea it has been getting pretty cold here... and yes it does sound like the same problem as the first time the starter went out.. but it makes sense that the cold wont allow the starter to push the gear out... i let it trickle charge overnight.. so i'll let that go a little while longer while i run to get a heater to heat up my garage and try to thaw out my starter..
also i did notice over the last week... if i didnt start it for a day... or so it would start really hard.. actually click click click then turn over slow... and evetually starting... dont know if that gives anymore help or not....
