ITP - Terra Cross tires
#1
All -
I would like to hear from those who are running
the ITP Terra Cross on their Sportsmans. What size,
what adv. over stock. How is the handling? How does
it do in Mud, hard pack, even the road, wooded trails.
What wheels do you have them on too? PICS?
(I am in tire research mode again, LOL)
Cheers,

Not sure, I know I have posted in a couple tire threads but it would be interesting to see
responsed from the whole forum just on that brand. Already this forum has had great reviews
on the Swamplites like Stendori mentioned and Mudlites. Those are part of my future choices as
well, but I would like to see who are running the Terra's on their Sportsmans and if there are
any cons to the pros.
On another note, I was browsing RockyMountain, EBAY and some other sites looking at PRICES
on the tire sets for the Terra's and they were pretty pricing, avg. around $800 range on a 26" set
of 4 on SS wheels (different options).
Cool, thanks!

R' I can't say I know anyone with them, but I met a guy at Hatfield that had them on his razor and really liked them. Your riding sound's alot like mine, I ride mainly in WV, a little bit of everything.
I tend to stay away from the deep mud hole's, but like riding in wet slick muddy stuff. I had okay luck with my Mudlite's, but they have about 20 plug's in them, no exageration. I just bought some Maxxis Mud Bug Radial's, did major research, supposed to be good all around tire and got them at a great price from Motosport.com.
Hope this help's

Yea I saw that post, I really want your first hand report on those. If they hold up to their reputation then
based on your price, I would sayt thats the best deal anywhere, yours was ~$300 range right, for the whole
set of 4 running at 26"? Pretty good man!
Yea, I have now met some more guys from my riding outtings that like the Mudlites but have said the
same thing about the tire punctures, maybe the 6-ply reputation is a little deceiving as all tires will
get puntures and go flat? I don't know? But also to I would think if the Mudlites were any harder against
punctures it would be TOO stiff of a tire and you would loose the other great qualities? Maybe, maybe not?

I had the first generation of the TERRACROSS on my X2 500....... (non XD version ) Pro....good tire all around, good in mud, hard pack. Con.....not strong side wall ( i don't know about XD ), not found the RADIAL SMOOTHNESS on these tire !!!
My TERRACROSS was my winter tire......I was complain about the steering. For winter the POLARIS ATV need a DIRECTIONNAL tire tread. I no NOW with a lot of test ( 489, BIG HORN, TERRACROSS, PXT )
I just sold my TERRACROSS last week....I run BIG HORN in the summer and for winter trail ridding...Like what i said....after LOTS of test last week and NONE EQUAL the stock Carlisle 489 or Polaris PXT ( Carlisle A.C.T ) for winter
That my opinion.....
