Default 1997 sportsman 500 problem and turbo charger

i have a 1997 sportsman 500 that me and my auto shop are going to install a turbocharger on theirs just one problem so far, the quad doesn't run at its ability and in order to get the bets performance out of it we have to fix it to get it running at its best ability. the problem is very awkward, it has VERY slow acceleration and about a 20mph top speed when its rly gets going in high but the governor is taken off. The throttle opens completely when its pushed however it still doesn't accelerate or hit its top end. if u put the throttle at certain points it will start to pick up and it use to go full speed at certain throttle positions that were not full however now it wont even go over 20mph. We found a vacuum leak but we fixed it and it ran a little bit better but it still doesnt have the get up and go it should have. it is capable of very fast speeds and i know it because iv been able to hit 61mph on it at my buddies farm but now it wont even go over 20 like i said. any suggestions? i really wana get her fixed so we can get on with the turbo! PLEASE HELP!

Have took the carb off and checked & cleaned it? Take a look at your cam those models are notorious for cams wearing out.

i just got done cheking the carb and all, everything is spotless. i dont think its the cam because like i said at some points it will be able to hit 60 or close to it but its weird because full open throttle doesn't do that, its g2 be positioned near the middle kinda and it only works some times. im not sure if this is normal but i put it in nutral and i had the filter off and i pushed the throttle to full and it opened up completely like it should but the vacuum piston with the needles coming out of it never rose up at all, could that be the problem?

Take the top off the carb and see if the diaphram is cracked or has a hole in it. So it wont rap out in nuetral? Spray carb cleaner around intake boot to see if its cracked.

Ok i just took apart my carb and cleaned it completely although it was already clean, i took out the jet and cleaned that as well then i took out the vacuum piston and cleaned it and when i put it back it i made sure there were no leaks what so ever and put it all back together and she ran a lot better and goes about 40 now so that's good enough for me, now about the turbo SPORTSMAN70003 u say u have a turbo in yours?
