Default Okay - Plow Debate is OVER

52" Glacier 1 on my 08 Sportsman 500 EFI with Polaris 2500 winch. The debate is over, folks...Glacier is the way to go (FYI - dealer told me people have been happier with the G1 versus the G2 - I guess G1 is heavier so it moves more snow).

Easy on, easy off...I like simple.

And for anyone hesitant about getting a plow. Do it! I live in upstate NY and get lots of lake effect snow off Lake Ontario (think heavy, wet, deep snow) and this thing works like a champ...even with the 500. A plow is the only way to go!

Okay, now bring on the haters! LOL

Hmmmm....
Didn't know there was a debate!!?
Everyone has there own needs and uses and preferences on plows and what works best for them.
Debate? I don't think so.

I have a Glacier plow too but other folks are happy with other brands!

Well now, Also being in Upstate NY, I think the Moose is a superior plow. I've been beating mine up now for 3 years and have had no issues. I also use mine in the summer to grade the drive and fill pot holes after I rip it up with a Harrow. I always thought the Lake effect off Ontario was the easiest to plow since it was light and fluffy. It's the effin NorEasters the dump the nasty wet snow. So let it begin : )

I agree, the debate, if there is one is over. I've had both Glacier set-ups, 1 & 2. Currently have the Glacier 2 on my X2. While I like how high I can raise the blade with the Glacier 2, the frame (the one that bolts up under the chassis) is a cheap POS. I've had to reinforce it with heavy steel bars because it bent up like a pretzel. It also pushed the bottom of the atv's frame so far back against the bottom of the radiator that I cannot remove the front plow frame bolts. **** poor design, Polaris. I'd go back to the Glacier 1, it's bullet-proof.

... or consider getting just the mount from the Moose RMS... if it turns out that this mount is more rugged than the Polaris mount... and not just the same thing. Time will tell.
