Default oil filter on 550 xp

I can not get my oil filter off. I went and bought one of those end cap filter wrenches and it will not fit on the filter far enough to grab it tight. A regular filter wrench you can nopt get at it at all. It is also to tight to get my hand on it. Anyone else do this on their 550 yet? Not sure if the 850 is different

Not sure if you've got room for the metal shaft on a cloth filter wrench, but if you do it will work.

Something like this would probably work. I have one that has 3 claws.

A cloth strap with adapter for 3/8 rachet. Works good in tight spaces and for odd sized filters. Most auto parts stores carry them

The xp's are coming with a slightly larger Suzuki oil filter on them...I borrowed an adjustable filter wrench from my dealers mechanic to get it off..The replacement filter i got in the kit from the dealer is the same diameter has my previous bike so my existing filter wrench fits that...Its my dealers understanding that when these smaller diameter filters are used up they will be providing the larger ones {suzuki!!] Hope this helps
