See page 10-1 of your owners manual. Grade of oil is dependent on your riding conditions (expected temp range). But Yamalube 10W40 works good for a wide variety of riding conditions. You'll want to stay with an oil specifically designed for motorcyles/ATVs. Standard motor oil is cheaper, but has friction modifiers that are not good for your bike.
