Can you pick up your ATV and carry it...

Hey, that's why I wear cargo pants when I ride, so if I run out of gas, I just pick up my quad, stuff it in the big lower pocket, and walk out, keeps my hand free to carry out any other stranded quads I run across.

About 5 years before I got arthritis I could lift one end of a small car off the ground. I was pretty strong for a kid who looked like he had no muscles. But there's no way I could ever pick up an ATV and carry it, even back then. But mine runs and goes through stuff so I don't have to try.

When I was young I wrecked my motorcycle when the engine seized up. A farmer I knew stopped to help me. I was kind of screwed up and he asked what I wanted to do with my bike as it was lying in the road ditch. I told him I would have to have someone come and get it as it could not be ridden. He said he would "just pick it up and put it in the back of his truck". In spite of my pain I thought, "yeah, sure good luck with that". He walked over and grabbed it by the front fork and rear shock absorber, picked it up, walked over and put it in his truck and took me to get medical attention. That was the strongest man I have ever known and I don't think even he could pick up an ATV. Weight is not necessarily the biggest challenge, but also, size, handholds and weight distribution. Of course you already know that.
I picked up the front of my dad's VW once and bent the heck out of the bumper, but a VW really can't be considered a car and the engine was in the rear.

I think he meant that figuratively........ in that he can muscle it out of a stuck situation........ I can pick up either end of my z400 easily but certainly not the entire thing in one shot........
