i want to get a new quad. but i am only 13 and never drove manual or clutch. and i don know how to. but i know i am going to get a new quad and probably an going to get the honda. is it easy to learn manual transmission? and is it easy to learn the clutch? and do you think you can explain the process of shifting gears and turning on the quad and going?

thanks!

from what i have read about the 250ex the newer models have a nifty clutch setup on it that lets you learn how to use a manual clutch with out fear of stalling. not sure how it works but i guess it does. learning how to shift isnt as bad as you think, about a half day of riding should make you feel confindent with it.

the clutch setup on the newer 250ex is stall proof, so you dont feel dumb if you dump the clutch lol. works well for beginers. it only takes o few hours to learn, by the end of the day you will be confident!

I'm 13 as well with a 400ex and mods... I learned to drive the clutch on a yoshimura piped yfz450 (my uncle's) in about an hour, so it is definetely not hard. You just have to acquire the knowledge of when to let off the clutch and give it gas. After you get the basic feel of it, it's a snap.
