Default Stupid Dipstick question

Go ahead and laugh, But I don't know much about this ATVs two stroke motor.
I know 2 strokes don't have oil in the Crank, So why is there a Dip stick on this 400L?

Yea it's definately not the Tranny. I have the motor on the bench and the tranny is still in the ATV.
I just looked in the book and can't find anything about a Counter Balance. Its a 98 Explorer 400L. Two stroke engine.
Ricks sending me some parts for it, and I was just cleaning up the rest and saw this dipstick.

There are no Stupid Dipstick questions, only Stupid Dipstick people. They usually stay off the Polaris forum, but some of the other forums are a whole different story. Glad you got it figured out bugsquawsher.
