Default Sportsman 500 exhaust

Does anyone know of an exhaust that will "wake up" the 500 but not be to much louder?

I believe very loud pipes help land owners shut down trails and I don't want any part of that. I do want an exhaust that will provide more flow but not be wicked loud.

Any suggestions? thanks

Skinnykid,
Went thru the same thing with my 07 500 EFI when I had it. It will not make a difference just putting a slip-on pipe on. I bought an 07 800 EFI and put a Slip-on performance pipe on and all it did was make it to loud for long ride's, and felt no performance gain's.
I found thru this forum that there is no replacement for displacement. If you want to go fast, go to an 800 or 850, JMO.

Well, all I can say is that I would wait until the car's are paid for, then get a twin, there's only so much you can do with a 500. Don't get me wrong my 500 was a bulletproof ATV, but my 800 is just as reliable and alot more fun on the trail's.

I like my 08 500EFI. I'm going to keep it another year and then to the 850.

The best thing you could do for your 500 Is CLutching, This will do more than a full Pipe and Jetting or FI tuning, Spend 200 dollars for a clutch kit instead and then if you want noise drill out the muffler.

I have an 04.5 and I did a hot seat speed kit. The pipe is a "quiet" pipe and it still loud. I don't think pipes do much with 4x4's. Absolutely buy a clutch kit! My mid range is awsome.

There is more to riding than going fast, how old are you?

This is my first post in this forum and I like the op was looking for an exhaust. You Outback are not too helpful and I would venture to say somewhat of an **** in your response. The op isnt looking for a twin, he is looking for an exhaust.

I have a Big Gun full system I got off ebay cheap, I noticed some gains in acceleration, you could also check out white brothers, HMF or Super Trapp
