i posted a topic in honda to see both sides was thinking about getting a 2000's banshee or a 80's 250r how do these compared in trails and racing stock thanks.

 

Trails: 250r
Track: 250r
Drags: Banshee
Dunes: Banshee

Would you mind expanding on your thoughts here? Why would the 250r out perform the 350 banshee at the track? Thanks

 

Really the banshee is not good for cornering. Thats why there so good at drags they go super fast but don't try to hang on when you turn.

 

it dont matter niether one is really better u just have to learn how to ride um

 

banshee definitely is more suitable for dunes or drags, 250r is more towards being a very very nimble bike that can still do awesome on the track or trails, banshee are alot heavier with worse suspension and overall design towards this stuff,along with banshees have pretty crappy low end power, the 250s on the other hand have power on tap low and top, great designed frame and suspension and have no problem what so ever doing great on the trails or hitting the track. both bikes are awesome bikes all the way, you just gotta decide which is gonna be more for what you wanna use it for, if you dragged the bikes stock for stock it will be a close fight, the banshees have reeeal good mid and top power, they might pull ahead just a little bit. also 250rs are easier to work on then banshees being that on banshees you gotta sync carbs,and you have 2 pipes 2 cylinders and such, no matter what you get you will be happy.

 

What would be the best way to improve the Banshees low end? And for all you banshee guys out there, what are your favorite upgrades?
