Please help with my dilema...

I'm sure my engine build (see sig) would benefit from the additional flow of the LTE's but I would have to loose my stock airboot. I don't have an airbox, just the factory boot with the factory size K&N at the end of it. I had a clamp on filter on the carb before but after Hr. HP built my 730 he said I need the boot for velocity. So if I went with LTE's I would gain exhaust flow but loose velocity at the intake end although I would probably gain volume. So what would y'all do in my case here?

hello 1882 i just went through that when i bought the wileyco's , no doubt the lte's
flow better awesome design , but my local parts guy said because of there clam shell design that they tend to crack, the only reason i was hesitant, i do alot of hard woods riding, ect . you could just buy the mikuni 48 , with what you have done they should really help

Confer with Dragon on the LTE's. Not the preferable pipe for the DS. Sure they look cool, but I'd think that performance is what you're after. There's much better choices for the money.

HELLO 1882 we have had LTE exhaust for at least four years on a stock ds650, ds730-770 and still running strong and no cracks, remember (for the price you are getting two of everything) some exhaust for the ds650 is 400-500 dollars for one muffler, pipe ect.

Wonder what is sitting on a shelf in my garage collecting dust..... They look and sound awesome, and power was not the problem. We blew a gasket on that bike that week we were running them (installer fault) and have since gone another way with it so I cannot use them at all.

The Bom loves the R/W Drag Open Loud Muthur Pipe, I went with the R/W Racing Pipe, also had the Big Gun, The B/G was a good Woods Pipe Bottom and Mid some Top, But the R/W/R is a good all around pipe , My $02. worth

First: i was the first person out there running velocity stacks to open filter and i only did so because i was running dual carbs and with the massive flow i lost intake psi so i designed velocity stacks to compensate for the problem and i do know it helped my torque but i seriously dought with a single carb you would beniefit enough to swap dual exhaust for velocity stack with a 730 i think you would beifit more from the pipes then the velocity tube. Second:the lte's have never cracked on any of my bikes trail riding is cuddling a bike compared to the hitting 2' tall whoops in 5th gear my bikes take a beating at the hill and i have never been uhappy in anyway with my lte's they work flawlessly. And i run them on 650's too 800's with good results
