Default Polaris Glacier 2 plow system final install issue

All -

I mounted with success my plow mount plate to frame to my SP800 today with help from some of you all on some sticking points, thanks again. I think I am all there as I assembled my pivot frame (Mid-piece of whole system) piece previously and now just need to connect to plow blade and plow mount. Okay I think this step is missing somewhere in my documentation that I perserved. Maybe tha doc. was in the blade box, I don't remember that? In any event I see where the side springs attach, where I put the winch cable, the lever for swinging the angles, etc. but the bottom bolt holes on the plow blade don't seem to match up with the pivot frames'. It looks like the pivot frame would fit in-between these center weld rails but the pivot frame evenso is about an inch or so from the bolt holes from aligning up properly. Am I missing something (obviously I am, LOL).

Could I have the wrong plow blade? All the instructions (frame mount plate and pivot frame all say Glacier II) but again I don't have any docs on the blade, is there somewhere to download these documents?

Thanks in advance for all the help, sorry I don't have PICS!

Regards,

R'

R,

I went out and took a quick look at mine. My plow frame seems to slide close between the two vertical attachment beams on the plow. There are two big bolts on the very bottom where the plow attaches to the frame. A little higher on the frame are two bolt holes for attaching the plow blade stops.

That probably doesn't help... but I thought I'd try. If you had pics it might help.

Yes its the vertical area I am talking about. Question, do you have PICS on the front of your plow blade and behind it where those bolts holes are? Mine seems to receed about an inch from it even when its "fitted" between the vertical beams. I am not sure whats wrong? I have the blade postioned right, upright
regarding the height it would seem with the stops on the bottom (turned all the way down), are you saying to raise them and the blade should angle or pivot some to allow my "pivot frame" to align with the holes? Does this make sense?

R,

Sorry, no pics here either... wish I did.

Are the holes lined up and short, or won't they line up. If they won't line up, I would remove the stops and see if you can get the holes lined up.

They are lined up just sit back about an inch, so its too short. Would the Glacier plow II suppor the Glacier I plow
blade? I don't know if this is the problem or not?

R,

Not sure on the Glacier I plow? I know there is virtually no gap between the vertical supports and the plow frame on mine... just barely enough room for the plow to pivot forward and then back to the stops.

However, I'll go out and check again to be sure (maybe there's a spacer or something). Besides, I need to shovel a path to the shed so I can plow in the morning. LOL

Hey Dave thanks for all the back and forth assistance here. I really don't want to be an inconvience though, whenever and thanks. That is what I am wondering, am I missing a spacer, some other mount piece or hardware, just doesn't
make sense. If there exists on-line install instructions maybe I could glean from that too, that was my first goal in starting this thread in addition to picking ya'lls brains for help!

Thanks for all the help and have a great weekend!

R,

No inconvenience at all.

Anyhow, I had another look. I don't see any spacers. On the plow frame there is a piece welded on that hangs down where the vertical bar on the plow connects. Again they are almost perfectly flush.

Here's another way to check to see if it's the right plow blade. Standing in front of the plow, place the plow blade where you think it should go. Then look at the hole where the spring connects on the plow blade and look down where the spring attached on the plow frame... mine are perfectly in line... straight as an arrow. If yours don't line up, I bet it's the wrong blade.

Okay I am back and forth on this dawg'ole thing. I keep study the on-line pic.
My cuz is arguing that the second set of bolts containing the Square washer
that is visable in this link was the ones we removed to try to line up and
that the first set already in my pivot frame is keeping it from fitting.

Look at the pic link and let me know your thoughts maybe we have cracked
this case, LOL. BTW, you may want to click View more images for the bigger image to see the bolts. Much obliged DCT!

DCT et al,

Here is a pic I shot today with my digital camera, I forgot about it as I started with a step by step then got side tracked. So I think this side view may help my point here. Notice the front where by it installs to the Plow blade like we discussed between the vertical weld rails. As you will see with this side view the holes missing the bolt, square washer and nut we took out. But there is another before it just a little lower bottom, hex bolt in pivot frame already. Should these be backed out and be used to fit to the blade? Maybe that was my problem? Does this make sense?

PIC:

Thanks in advance,
