Tow points?On my ds
#1
I like too take the ds out every once and awhile in the mud.Where is a safe point too hook a strap on the ds?I know i can loop on the back grab bar a strap but is it safe too get pulled out from the front bumper?Sounds dumb but thought about putting a tow hook on the front somewhere...Maybe on the dsx bumper on the flat part just somewhere easier to put a strap.Sound safe.Ive gotten buried before...I know you dune guys think muddin with a 2wheel drive quads dumb but ow well...Thanks on your opinions

i think is funny but i go mudding with my ds more than i ride in the sand. i have had to get pulled out by someone and i always try to get to the frame on the front but if i have to i will go to the bumper but i have an aftermarket bumper that i dont want to skuff up lol.

i trail ride alot also and useally try to hook the swingarm , i was always afraid of bending the subframe, i also fabed a loop on the swingarm, pull both carrier bolts out run a piece of angle accross mark holes , then bent a piece of rebar in a half moon weld to angle, keep it tight so it wont drag, also nice for towing your buddies, i also fabed a winch on the front , if im trailing all day , less than 100 bucks at auto parts store, what tires do you run, i like the razors 2's , but havet tried many other's

I just hook the towstrap or winch hook to the bottom of the bumper where its flat and angled...there is a little hole inbetween the frame rails that it fits perfect on for a baja x...other than that the grab bar works fine to unless your really tugging on it nothing is going to happen to the frame of the mighty ds ive been in DAMN bad situations with the quad and have never bent anything other than the axle when i hit a pond in a ditch going 70mph.....ouch
