Default 07' Sportsman 700 awd override?

I know i saw an auction on ebay or somewhere that had listed an override switch for the awd on the polaris sportsman 700. This is the most rediculouse thing i have ever seen.

When i am driving on a snowy road, my awd won't engauge unless the back wheels are spinning right, well the awd also won't engauge if the rpm's are over a certain number right. So how am i sappose to drive ANYWHERE and be in 4 wheel drive.

Now that i have vented about polaris's stupid design, if anyone knows a way around it i would greatly appreciate it!

Also a minor note, i know someone has a good website i can go to, to get what i need for the optional work light for the back of the atv. I would greatly appreciate it! You know, becasue polaris is too cheap to add 2 wires, a switch, and 2 bulbs to the atv in the first place!

actually the wiring is already there. you just need the switch and bulbs to make it work.

Check out www.quadovator.com
Lots of quality products with easy to follow instructions.
With the AWD, I don't understand why you think the front wheels aren't engaged if you have it set to 4x4 mode. Are you having a problem with traction? And the AWD is not supposed to engage over 15 or 20 mph to protect the drivetrain from damaged gears. Sounds like a good deal to me.

i did the work light mod my self. insted on regular bulbs i added L.E.D. light bulbs to cut the current draw. and added my own switch. but think i will go to polaris and just get the switch. least its water proouf, and matches my hand/thumb warmer.

yes all the wireing is there. just add 2 bulbs, and find the plug in the headlight pod for the lights.

The AWD will kick in when it detects the rear wheels spinning for 1/5 of a revolution... LONG before it gets to the maximum RPM allowed for AWD to engage. If it doesn't kick in as described, there is something wrong with the system.

I've never heard of a "Forward Override" for the Polaris AWD system... probably for a lot of good reasons.
