****cdi rev boxes- 400ex

Personally I don't think it's worth it. Mostly because there are many other things I'd prefer to spend the money on, like Douglas rims, or some nerfs maybe some skid plates. They get you a few more revs but, I wouldn't want my quad to ever rev at those rpm's anyway. I've heard that they slightly adjust the timing curve which is how you gain power. I feel that it's so minimal of a gain that it's not worth it.

my buddy has one on his 450, and after riding it,it was not noticable at all, i wouldnt have known unless he told me.i agree with koopa totally and if your looking for more out of it,get into the gearing,intake,exhaust,timing,etc....

If you have a ported head, higher compresion piston and a tall cam, a rev box can help. The stock engine setup only builds power to around 6500rpm. The stock box is set for 8900 or something like that.
I had one on my 440 stroker and took it off. It made for harder starting and that was all I noticed.

WOW!!!! thanks everyone. When you read about them they seem to hype them up a bit. I dont plan on going to a 426 or 440 so i thought that would help my ride out a little with my other upgrades but i guess not. besides exhaust<k&n lid and K&n regular filter whats the next upgrade i should get performance wise with out tearin down the engine?? or is that about it?

Save your money and just install a Sparks 6 degree timing advance key. You WILL feel the difference. And at only $20 you can invest the money elsewhere. The over rev is pointless on an otherwise stock engine.
