Glacier II XP Plow mounting bolt
#1
I have noticed this bolt sticking down on the rear of the plow mounting plate and I think It could be a problem when going over logs or rocks etc.!
I just don't like it hanging down there. How about you guys? Any idea's?Text border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>">http://i388.photobucket.com/al...ancher55/DSCF3441.jpg"</a>

I'm not sure yet DCT. It may cause more damage turned that way. I'll have to check it out tomorrow.
I've noticed it before but haven't checked it out close yet. Reading another thread reminded me of it so I thought maybe someone else had seen this also!

It's probably around a 1" bolt. So, you could try a 3/4" bolt, or put a flat washer or two on the other side.
Mine was the same way on my 500 mount. I turned it around and put a big fender washer on the bottom to strengthen the mount, and reduce the amount of bolt that protruded up through the frame.

Yea I went thru the same thing when I mounted mine. And
there were other illustrations that had the same kind of issue
with the bolt threads facing in a conflict direction. I just used
my best judgement. I was able to just switch my ends around
on my SP800, fortunately for me I did not have to get another
size or add any washers etc.
I think I posted this comment in the other plow threads recently
and I will repeat, as much as I am a fan of Polaris products
their paper assembly instructions/directions are much to be desired!

rancher,
Will the bolt clear if you turn it around, and put the nut side on top?</end quote></div>
Ditto here! Just flip it!
