Default what kind of oil for my trani

ok what kinda oil do i put in my trani.. .not the front diff or the crank but the trani...in my book it says

Motor oil API SH or SG
10w 30 ?

what exactly can i put in it??

Default what kind of oil for my trani

use a regular motor oil type. 10w30 is what i normally run. reason being the gearcase does not get enough heat to thin out gear oil or 80w90. there is a chain in there and if it gets run with too little lubrication then it stretches. have to tear the gearcase down to replace it. the light weight oil allows it to splash up to the gears and bearings easier
