honestly, for long life/durability IMO your best setup would be: weisco 12:1 piston 426 kit stage 1 hotcam with pipe and filter. but just a piston...weisco 11:1

JE 11:1 piston, 426 kit, stage 2 cam, port polish the head, 450r carb. That's what it'll take to not only hang with the 450's but possibly beat them.

Beat them? That won't beat them.
