03 Raptor 660 running hot

My 03 Raptor 660 seems to be running hot. I am in my second season at Glamis My exhaust is very black and it is even melting my cooler on my 6 pack rack. Is this normal for a raptor? Could it be a carb problem?

It could be a carb problem but i am thinking it sounds like a coolant problem how often do you clean out your coolant system

If your exhaust is really black it sound like a jetting issue.
