You can get insurance for less than that. I not sure but I think I pay a little over 200.

I pay $190 a year thru State Farm. On the warranty I don't know. Does anyone know how much the extended warranty for the Raptor is and if you can still buy it until the end of the 6 month Yamaha warranty runs out?

I just got insurance for mine at $150 a year,.. liability and 500 deduction on damages! Not bad I thought . My local agent said it was Progressive..
and oh by the way,... I'm 40,.. that helped!
I did also get the extended Yamaha warranty at purchase. It was ? $475 I think. I asked if I could purchase anytime within the first 6 months,.. but was told the price would go up to $600 ish dollars!. Not sure if it was a scam or real...

I priced insurance for a raptor at my State Farm agent. $190 for a year. That was liablity, comprehensive, and collision. I just turned 30 but was 29 when I got the quote. And I'm single. I believe being married would reduce it a little more. That's pretty good for a $6,500 quad.

I live in NC and it is the hardest state to get insurance for ATV'S. Anyway I pay $248 a year and have a $250 deductible. As for the extended warranty its $450 for four years it covers the motor and the trans. Not bad if you think about it. Especially while they work out the bugs. Hope that helps out.

Skip the warrenty and go for the insurance. Warrenty is only good for manufactures defects, and is good for 1 year (might be 6 months) Sounds like I need to move to the US though, as I pay about $120 cnd. a month for insurance, Full coverage though. Oh, and if you ride like me then you will probably break anything that is breakable in the first 6 months anyways
