I have a 1999 Polaris scrambler 400 4x4 that I would like to put a winch on. I have been looking on the internet for a bracket and winch but am unable to find anything. Any suggestions?

 

KFI makes a mount. It bolts to the top of the front bumper. They're about $50 shipped on Ebay. As far as winches, it depends on what kind you want and how much you're willing to spend.

Thanks, this will work great! I assume a 1500 lb. winch should be ok. Does that sound like it would get me out of the mud when I get stuck?

I'd probably go for at least a 2000. The ATV itself probably weighs 700 pounds or so, plus you might be on it, plus you could be pulling it up and through mud and maybe even over a log or whatever.

A 1500 would probably work for most situations... but better safe than sorry.
