Dr pulley Clutch
#1
Does any one know what the affect of the other springs that send in the box are. I was wanting to play with this thing but I would like to know how each spring weight will affect it. Let me know if you have any info.

Well I did what most people have not done. I took it apart and started changing springs. They do work but I guess it depends on what you want out of the machine. I know alot of people get and do not touch it because they like the way it is out of the box. Do not be afrais to try those springs they give..... you will be suprised.

I assuming your refering to the outer clutch springs? If so, yea, they make a difference. It helps the clutch engage sooner or later depending on the RPM spring you install. Clutch is a loose term when compared to a GY6 engine. Are you refering to the variator or the actual clutch itself? At any rate, Usually with lighter springs would require lighter rollers and torque spring or vise versa for a heavier spring.

We did a fair amount of testing with different springs and rollers, we found that with just a little over stock motor we ended up back close to stock set up except for engagement springs we went just one step stiffer. We had a little different senario, my 10 yr old that raced it went a ways over 100 lbs so we had to stay with stock shift spring just because of his weight.
