Hey I came across a 2008 Trx 450er Black and Blue with Black frame still in the crate I got the dealer to get it out so im going to look at it, I was wondering if anyone knew alot about them I sorta fallowed The yfz and the ds450 but this Honda cought my eye just wondering how they run up against say a 08 yfz 450? Also if i was to race in a year what is the aftermarket like on the Trx 450

 

The '08 TRX450R is virtually unchanged from the '07.
The new YFZ450 has fuel injection so who knows how they stack up against each other.

 

"Race"? Specifically what kind of racing???? Depending on the type of "racing", you many want to widen it, and for sure you want to get the HRC kit.

It's a great machine! Due for some updates like fuel injection, but still an excellent pick. I find that the stock suspension is workable, if you take the time to properly adjust it.

For me, the R is the king of desert endurance races, like Baja and Vegas to Reno. If you aren't on the R, you probably won't even finish the race, much less win. This machine will go the distance!!!
