Default 2007 Brute Force 750 4x4

I was only getting half power out of my Brute 750. So I took the carbs off and cleaned them and the air system. When I got the carbs back on, I tried to tighten the nut that holds the choke cables to the carbs and no matter what they wil not tighten. Does anyone now what i'm doing wrong or know how to tighten them?

Is that at the end of the choke cable, the plunger part? I took that part off and on many times and didn't have any problem. So, basically you are saying the nut is spinning and not getting tightened... stripped threads? Post some pics of the nut you are talking about.
