Default SP 2008 800 EFI fuel line overflowing

I have an 08 SP800 EFI with about 500 miles. I was riding about 2 hrs the other day and noticed the clear fuel line under the headlight pod had air and gas coming up the hose. The hose has a "T" in the line with two check valves. The right check valve allows air to be sucked back into the tank to equalize pressure for high altitude (I believe). The left check valve only allows air and fuel to be pushed out the tube by pressure I guess. If I am about 3/4 full of gas in my tank then why is the gas coming out the left check valve and running down the center steering colum. PS. I can see and smell gas on the front 4x4 differential, which is coming from the left check valve (clear gas line).
Any info on why I am leaking gas would be appreciated, this would also help my gas mileage. thanks.

Default SP 2008 800 EFI fuel line overflowing

Mornin tpc13
Mine has been doin that ever since I got it. I found that if I loosen my gas cap it will stop. But if you tighten it back up it will start again, so I run with mine a lil loose. I've been thinkin bout puttin a one way check valve in the cap.

your gas tank can not be pressurized or it will most likely has issues w/ running. mine vents as well some but not that much and i never run the cap loose. becareful hobbles not to have it too loose where going thru some water can get in the tank on ya. make sure none of the vent lines has any pinches or blockage and that the one way check valves are working. imo.

I did see any pinched fuel line, but just wondering if I can get it to stop leaking. Apparently the right check valve you can blow into and air pressure goes into the tank. If I plug off the left check valve there is air pressure in the gas tank that's when I partially unscrew the gas cap and air goes poof. Just wanting to know if I plug the left check valve it will stop leaking, but will the engine also stop running.
I speculate that the gas tank needs to equalize pressure when riding at 6000-8000 ft in elevation and the right gas valve lets air in. The same should work for the left air valve when decreasing in elevation the gas tank needs to expand. My question is why does it with 3/4 of a tank of gas does the air pressure with partial gas come out the left check valve then through the hose....hope this makes since. I think I will try to plug the left valve at the hose and see if it still leaks.
