I was riding when the bike just shut off. went through found out it was the cdi box. i just put a new cdi box in and now it will idle but very rough and will not run at all above an idle. any info would be appreciated. thanks

 

No offense but make sure it is the right year, and double check your parking brake safety switch.

 

when you say the parking brake switch how do you check it?

 

What I meant by that is sometimes they stick on and a person doesn't notice it. It is the part that locks on clutch lever for parking, I have seen them catch a little and they will only miss above idle if that is out. I heard of many people going through the carbs many times thinking that is the problem when they just had to push the parking brake back in.
