#1
Ok my boyfriend is getting back into racing atvs....but not for another year, however is buying a 06 yfz450 and now is telling me he wants a new header and pipe too? something about exhaust. now when he tries to explain stuff to me i get confused so can someone here help me out a bit? what is this and what exactly will it do for the bike? also we found a yoshimira(sp?) complete exhaust system for like 539 or something like that, is that a good deal? sorry im the one that has to find everything he needs and such and i have no freakin clue about atv's!! also anyone know where i could get a good deal on gear? thanks guys!!

Well what he means is an entire exhaust system.... The "header pipe" is the pipe attached directly to the front of the engine and is defined generally like a "C" or "J" looking curve... The rest of the exhaust is the muffler and mid pipe which is usually one long piece......
FWIW, I would check out the Yamaha GYTR combo...... My buddy with a YFZ has gone though a Yoshi and a FMF system on his YFZ and the GYTR stuff he has now really seems to work the best......The GYTR stuff gives the machine a nice rich boost of power all through the curve, and sounds nice.....
But if he really wants a Yoshi system they are not bad in any way and I'm sure he'd be happy....

it helps with more power and it gives it a different sound and rocky mountain atv has all kinds of gear for riding that are usually good deals and yosh is a good name does good performance too

To put it as simple as it gets. It lets more go through the engine. More air through means more gas through means go faster.
Hope that helps.
