Default oil specs

ive got a 2004 400 sportsman 4x4. do not any specs on lubrications. can anyone help me out. i need diff lubes and engine oil. preferably aftermarket and not polaris.

Mobil 1 5W40 for the engine. Polaris oils for the transmission and differential. NAPA Oil Filter51358 (Made by WIX).

Default oil specs

0W-40 motor oil Full synthetic,Amsoil or Mobile1 is good, I use a snowmobile the full synthetic chain case oil in my tranny, and normal gear oil 75w for the front diff. You can use ATF Type "F" in the hubs but I stay with the Polaris OEM stuff for that one. The are many aftermarket oil filters that can be used that any department or auto parts store carries.

A Fram CPH6607 oil filter is one of many that works.

5W motor oil is a little thick for cold starts on the Fugi motors,it will oil stave the cam on start ups. The Polaris oil is 0W-40 and a new 2W-50 came out also I think.

is that a hypoid type gear oil?
