I'm looking at a used Aarm for my 98 xplorer 400...I found a good used one off a 95 sportsamns 400. The PN's match but the part is slightly different...the bracket that the boot guard attaches to...on my xplorer the bracket is smaller with two holes...the sportsmans has a larger bracket with 3 holes.

Are these A arms interchangable?? I don't have a problem taking the dremel to the bracket and drilling/taping a new hole/holes.

Interchangable...98 expl 400 and the 95 sportsmans 400 A Arms??

 

Only difference is that the Sportsman has a larger guard. Ps You say #'s match,but according to list shows different part #'S?

As far as the guards go...is there any reason I can't install the larger guards on the xplorer. Seems more protection would be better.

 

Dont see why you cant,unless guard goes in too far against wheel and may have to be trimmed.

 

It will work I had to do the same thing on my old Sportsman
