I'm purchasing a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 TRXFE ES 4X4...I have a buddy that has a set of bi-fold folding ramps. These ramps are 40 inches wide. Are these ramps wide enough for the Rancher I'm purchasing?

40" wide? Pardon, but I am confused. A set of 40" wide ramps would be huge. The total width of the Rancher is 46.1". 8" tires on the front 10" tires on the back. Tires might hang off a bit, but sounds doable.

 

I think if I were you, I'd get a tripple section ramp about 48" wide. That way bigger quads would have a bit more breathing room.

Sportsman's wearhouse I think carries one that's pretty reasonably priced.

Be sure to use a safety strap.
