I saw a reference in another post to a new Kodiak Special Edition model that was apparently announced in January 2001. The Yamaha website doesn't have any information on them. Does anyone know the details on the model/features/prices? Thanks!!

 

I could be wrong, but to my knowledge the Kodiak SE is only available in Canada. The Kodiak was available in blue in Canada for 2000. In 2001 the blue one was called a special edition. For 2002 they have the blue one, and a black one. Both have silver racks and wheels, and a black/silver seat. I believe the color is the only difference. I am in the process of shopping for one right now and what the previous writer said is correct, the SE also comes with front and rear rack bags, the package costs $300 bucks more because of the bags but the dealer said I could for $300 bucks less if I dident want the bags. For what it is worth I think the Kodiak looked better with black racks.
