Parking brake block off

as far as i know the parking brake cable goes from the clutch lever to the rear brake on the 300 its on the.....left side of the caliper u take it off with a few bolts and bolt the plate on then take the cable off.
THIS MAY BE WRONG BUT FROM WHAT I KNOW I THINK THATS HOW ITS WORKS.
on my 300 i have tryed and tryed again and the parking brake has never worked so....take it off!
