By now everyone has heard that the small machines are being or has been pulled from the showroom floors of ALL dealers in the United States and they cant even sell them or the parts that are needed to keep the ones already sold running.
We Better wake up and smell what is going on, This is a major deal that will bring down may dealers in the U.S. and cost us millions more, And I wouldnt Put it past many parents to do something Very bad, We can thanks the Liberal Green people for starting this and it all goes back to the 70S with the Clean Air Act, they will keep taking and taking till we have nothing except Horses and Bicycles again, We need to rise up and send some letters and emails to congress and State legislatures and do it quickly, But for the Life of me I have never Seen a child or Adult Licking or eating their Atvs and Motorcycles.

 

I agree this is an absolute travesty! But I thought this came about due to the inefficient running of GOVT for the last 8 yrs under the eye of the Conservatives. When all those toys from China showed up...and kids were being exposed to high levels of lead?!?!

Then they make a law that sucks in ATV's to over compensate there inability to protect us in the first place.

I'm steaming upset about this...as my kids now have a 2008 Polaris Outlaw 50cc. What good is it...if something goes wrong...and I cannot replace parts? Oh yeah...I'm burning!!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

If you look at the original date the bill was made, you'd see it was made by the same group of conservatives.

Guess I wouldn't worry too much, the liberals running the place now are looking to shut down riding areas.

Just another fine example of the government stepping in and being the parents.

 

im certified by the EPA to remove lead, and have been in the environmental business for over 15yrs. this is nuts, unless your kid is chewing the paint off the frame u have nothing to worry about. This is why our economy is in the *****, wasting goddam money on non sense.

 

by the way there going to take the horses too they produce methane. you know that's the whole global warming s**t ,and for the lead i only twitch a little.

 

All I can say is that it's bull s@#t! I don't have young children and it still burns my ***! The dummies don't realize that kids will now be riding machines that are too big for them, resulting in serious injury.
I'm sure getting tired of being told by our government what is best for us! We as a people CAN NOT let this kind of crap continue! I thought this was suppose to be our country....ya' know the land of the free! We have no say in anything anymore!

 

I haven't heard about this. I go to Kids ATV's, RacewayATV, etc... and they still have kids atv's for sale. Who does this apply to?

BTW, what happened to Raceway's forum on here? I asked on the kids atv forum and got no reply.

12 and under! Have had to pull and STORE 20 small KTM dirt bikes and about 7 small Polaris atv's in our warehouse! If we are asked,have to say CANT sell em! Plus cant sell any of our parts inventory for EXHISTING machines old or new! Hopefully common sense will prevail and we will be able to sell em when the elected officials and the court system realize they have screwed the pooch on this one!! Fines are 1800 dollars for every machine if try to sell!

i completely agree with you. thats the main killer of kids on atvs. now its gonna be worse because parents are gonna let them "just take a quick ride" on their machines. unfortunately thats all it takes.

unfortunately its only gonna get worse with our new heroic president. gotta protect people by dumbifying everything
