snorkel my wolverine 450 and need advice

Default snorkel my wolverine 450 and need advice

hey i snorkel my airbox on my 06 wolvy 450,it has the dynojet stage1 jet kit installed.i have a 1.5" pvc pipe about 12" in lenght with a 180* elbow at the end.when i give it gas it will sputter for a second and slowy smooth out towards w.o.t.wat can be my problem?i can baerly even choke it.

1.5" is all you have for air to get into the box? You're starving it for air. The reason you can't choke it is because it's already close to flooding level. You need to get more air to that box ASAP. I'd say either 3 of those 1.5" pipes or 2 2" pipes at least.

so 1.5" is small?the stock hole measures 1.5"

so i guess run a 2" instead ofthe 1.5"?

I'd try that and add to it from there. The more air you give it the better. I run mine with essentially no lid, just an outerwears covering the open box.

well i did the 2" and still the same deal.now i also have the carb vent line snorkel,and if you blow some air into it the bike will rev up nice so wat can i do,i dont have much room to run any bigger pipe

Dont know if this will help but I snorkeled my '04 350 Wolverine a couple of months ago and was having the same problems you are. Turns out it all had to do with the carb vent. Once I snorkeled that and made sure it wasnt being pinched or anything the bike ran normal. I also had to snorkel my crankcase breather hose. But like you I used about 1.5'' pipe for mine and it worked.

how come you snorkel you crankcase breather?

Ive read a couple of places that the crankcase breather has to be snorkeled plus I did it to be safe becsause the hose will be under water alot.
