I have had this quad for about three months, bought it for my 10 year old son.
I have been very happy and impressed with it so far. I had the day off and it was time for the routine oil change. I started it to warm the oil and noticed it was smoking
alot . Any ideas????? Thanks in advance. Kevin

Usually white smoke is a condensation or water problem... has the machine been sitting outside or gone through alot of water recently? Blue smoke is oil, black smoke unburnt gas... if it is pure white in my experience there is water in the gas or in the exhaust pipe its self. I would change the gas out, maybe go as far as taking off the exhaust & blowing it out with a air hose, or it just might clean its self up by simply running it.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I was just about to update my post. It is
oil smoke. I just drained the oil again in hopes of finding evidence of the problem
and that I did. I strained the oil through a fine cloth and found a fair amount of what appears to be rubber particles. What do you think?

hmmmm... rubber in the oil? maybe valve guides, I know they can be kinda rubber like.... other than that no clue, are you sure it just wasn't overfilled with oil? as that can lead to oil smoke also.
