Default '01 Kodiak 400 won't start. . .pilot screw setting?

I accidentally left the fuel petcock on and the carb got all gummed up with bad gas. . .when I took the carb off & apart to clean it. . .I forgot to count the # of truns for the pilot jet. . .now I can't get the Kodiak to start. . .

. . .I can get it to start using starting fluid, but it won't stay running. . .

Could somebody help me out and tell me ~ how many turns in (or turns our from fully in) the pilot screw should be???

It ran fine before. . .in fact we NEVER had a problem with it. . .and I forget to turn the gas off one time. . .BAM. . .no more running!!! GEESH!!!

Anyway. . .thanks!

Turn screw all the way in, then back it out, 2 1/2 turns. That should at least get it started. Right now you are too lean-not enough gas.
