Default 2010 Sportsman Touring 850 ?????

Do you believe that when the 2010 models come out, that Polaris will offer the new upgrades on the Touring 800, in essence making a new Sportsman Touring 850 with all the upgrades the 2009 Sportsman xp currently has?? i.e. power steering, more powerful engine, etc.

If they do I hope they keep the 6 gal. gas tank. I have an X2 with that tank and it gives me at least 100 mi. range. Never have run it dry yet.

I think they will, but they will call it an XP touring if they put all those upgrades into it. I think they will keep the standard line around for a while.

That would be awesome. Right now I think that the tank size is my only complaint.

I have no idea R. I imagine they would put the biggest tank they could wedge into any of their quads. The 6 gallon tank was one of my main reasons for getting the X2 other than the pickup bed, 2 rider capability, 400 lb. rear capacity, etc. Hmmm. An 850 XP X2.... with a large fuel tank.

I think that's a great concept, I wish my XP with EPS had the fuel capacity of the non-EPS version. The problem with the XP concept to make it narrow at the front of the seat and gas tank is that they designed fuel cap out. In comp though my XP has more fuel cap than my Honda's. They might to come up with a dual tank set up where one is mounted in a remote location like the rear fender wells to get up to that 6-7 gallon cap. Geez, I better patent that idea. LOL

I also have the 800 X2 in the '07 model, and is my first 4 stroker after many reliable years with the '99 Scrambler 400's(had 3 of them!!) and their 2 stroke burner!! Now that the wife and I ride together, and our boys are on 2 stroke dirt bikes, we have to carry all the supplies, and that includes Gas, tools, refreshments, and the dog!! The X2 has "all" the room needed for the day's adventures

Not sure what you are saying. But I have noticed that some think that since the filler is on the left the tank is on the left only. The tank is centered on the machine..just the filler is off center on the tank..the EPS tank is smaller to accomodate the EPS unit that is just forward of the tank.
If they made a longer version such as a X2 or a Touring that would make even more room for a larger tank.
